A site review, just for the ladies

I don't like to shop. It overwhelms me. A very non-girly thing about me. 

So, I only shop when I ABSOLUTELY have to for a big event. 

Weddings. Reunions. Military event #432, you name it!  When I actually do drag myself into a shopping center, I'm massively unhappy because what's on the rack is what everyone in the joint will be wearing (albeit, in 6 different colors) and in no way a reflection of my personality or style. Hooray for mass produced items that make us all clones! Disturbing. I want something unique, affordable, and that photographs well but here comes the big truth about that dress... I'M NEVER GOING TO WEAR IT AGAIN. I can lie to myself all day but I know that thing's getting shoved in the back of my closet never to return to daylight.

So.

Just prior to my 30th bday, 3 years ago.... I found this phenomenal website:

An absolute godsend! A multitude of dresses that can be chosen by style, size, price point, occasion, and the date you need it by! Like the picture of that dress? Feel like that airbrushed model had a breath of fresh air for lunch? Me too. There's no way you can trust how it will look on you. So check out regular women with your build that provide photos and testimonials of the fit. When you do decide to take the plunge you can choose two sizes (AT NO EXTRA COST) to ensure you look amazing. I have rented from this site no less than 3 times in 4 years. Each one is a fabulous designer, unique to the event I attended... and I spent no more than $50 on each dress with it's complimentary back-up size (shipping extra but reasonable). Sure you can spend more, and sometimes the wallet allows it and sometimes it doesn't. Stylists are available at no extra cost to give you ideas on how to put the entire look together. After each par-tay I sent the dresses back from whence they came never to be locked away in the back of my closet. It's so stupid easy.

Tomorrow me and my guy hit up an annual military extravaganza, and I'm pretty excited to look like a million bucks without spending it!
